Interlibrary Loan
RLST fulfills the functions of the Republican and International
centre of Interlibrary loan of scientific-technical literature and documents.
Libraries, enterprises and organizations of all systems and
institutions as well as the readers of the Library are getting services on Interlibrary
loan.
For the library borrowers from another towns the documents are
delivered on Interlibrary loan on the basis of a common order form with a stamp
of organization, enterprise and the signature of a responsible person. To receive
publications a library borrower from Minsk should conclude an agreement on servicing
and fill in a registration card witnessed with a signature of a manager and
a stamp of an organization.
Domestic and foreign books and magazines, publications of
information bodies are delivered on Interlibrary loan.
What is not delivered: abstract magazines,
periodical bibliographic publications of branch centers of scientific-technical
information, scientific-technical magazines and foreign literature of the last
two years of publication, publications on micro-carriers and electronic carriers
of information, industrial catalogues, normative-technical and patent documents.
The orders for literature from another town borrowers are
fulfilled or redirected to the other libraries within 5 days. The term of fulfilling
the orders requiring library processing - up to 10 days. The orders of readers
for the literature from the funds of the other libraries on RLST profile of
acquisition is fulfilled within 3 days.
The terms of using the literature received on the Interlibrary
loan:
- Books - up to 30 days
- Periodicals - up to 15 days
With the consent of a library borrower a document may be
delivered in the form of a copy which is ordered and paid according to the established
order.
The following additional services are provided for organizations
having an agreement with RLST:
- receiving the orders by telephone,
- selecting the literature (up to 10 headings) on the indicated subjects.
